With the key in hand return to the locked door that can be found near the moths at the start of the hallway. Heading inside the room, move quickly and take the Odd Key that can be found inside the room. As the moth’s pass, continue down the hallway until you reach a door that allows Marianne to experience an Out of Body Experience. Once you reach the second floor, follow the hallway until you enter a very brief cutscene.Īs the moths fly towards Marianne in the spirit world, be sure to press and hold RB/R1 to summon your Spirit Shield to avoid taking damage. Using the elevator controls, head to the second floor to meet with Sadness. With the power restored to the elevator, press B/Circle to return Marianne to dual control of her realities. Having siphoned the energy, return up the stairs and charge a Spirit Blast when standing near the Power Box. Having interacted with the Power Box, climb down the stairs, and you’ll find an energy pool not too far from the area in which you entered the Niwa Hotel. Upon leaving the elevator, move quickly as Marianne can only control her spirit self for a short period. To restore the power, press and hold B for an Out of Body Experience in which Marianne will be able to control her alternate reality self solely. In clear elevator fashion, it decides to lose power when reaching the first floor. Following the dinging sound, head towards the lobby desk and answer the bell to enter another cutscene.įollowing your introduction with Sadness, use the elevator to reach the second floor. Once you’re inside the hotel, make your way over to the large metal gate that’s not too far from the main desk to enter a short cutscene. Returning to the door, use the screwdriver to open the door.Īfter heading inside the small room, push the dumpster towards the ledge until it is close enough that you can climb on top of it and reach the ledge above the door. Inside you’ll find a screwdriver that can be used as a makeshift door handle. This particular piece will be titled “ Honest Work”. To answer the phone, you’ll need to hold LB/L1 while moving the Left Analog-stick to find the Echo location - a glowing orange crack indicates this. With a distant sound of a telephone ringing, head towards the building's main entrance and pick up the phone at the base of the stairs. Along the way, you’ll find a rather creepy dead deer and a statue with a monkey cymbal on top that you can interact with. Now that power has been restored open the gate and continue following the path of footprints with your Insight ability until you reach the Niwa Hotel. Once charged, unleash the blast to give power back to the box. Standing close to the box, hold and press RT/R2 to charge a Spirit Blast. Absorb the energy and return to the power box. Once you reach the end of the path, use the ledge along the wall to shimmy across a caved-in floor. To power-up the box, you’ll need to find some energy, which can be found by following the path left. With no power, you’ll need to use Marianne’s split reality to power the box back up. Playing with Marianne in both realities, climb up the nearby ledge and make your way to the power box. After you squeeze through the gap, Marianne will suffer a split, which sees her alternate reality self appear. Follow these footprints through the woods until you reach an old abandoned fort.Ĭlimb down the stairs by the wire fence and squeeze through the small gap. With the sound of children’s laughter in the distance, press and hold the LB/L1 button to activate Insight to see the footprints on the ground. When you’re ready, return to the main path and follow the path right until you enter a cutscene. Following the road to the end, climb down the small ledge and follow the path straight ahead that leads into the woods.įollowing the path will allow you to inspect the old war mural that has since been vandalized.
